A Little About Me

Oh hi my beautiful friends! Welcome to an extension of my heart, a place I wanted to create to share the words God has placed on my heart. Soar, this blog's title, is inspired by the verse Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Soar stands for Strength, Optimism, Authenticity, Radiance. A few words that I hold near and dear to my heart.

WAIT, I forgot to mention, my name is Abby Arend!!! And I am so glad you're here. My story is a bit of a mumble jumble, but I think that is what makes God shine through it the most. If I was some put-together-all-the-time-make-no-mistakes-human (which no one is) I don't think this blog would make anyone feel less alone. Because that is truly my goal. I want you to know you are not alone. I want to be a sister to you, a friend, a shoulder to lean on. I want to love on you. So if you would like, follow me on Instagram, @abbyarend and @project40thirtyone and shoot me a DM on either accounts. I check them daily.

Anyways. Mental health is my greatest passion to write about (other than God of course). I am a former college volleyballer who is now a Baylor Bear. I am 21 and am pursuing a degree in communications, I have no idea what to minor in, and I really want to be a teacher one day. I am silly and goofy and you'll probably see me laughing by myself usually AT myself. I love pink and yellow, and a good bowl of honey bunches of oats WITH strawberries. And I am your average college gal just trying to figure things out.

Join me if you'd like. Come learn and grow with me. God is good. And you are more than you know.

Let's soar,

Abby
